I may well have a play with this before the event and get it down a bit.
4 Days in Cairngorms and a few days in lakes ought to rationalize it.

The BIG weight is the camera and batteries at 1kg
Plus medical stuff (which should decrease)
The Food is 4 days and so decreasing load

WE WILL REVISIT THIS LIST!!!!

Have a listen to THIS
And IF you enjoyed that bit of Jeff Beck.

  1. Wanda Warmlite? WANDA?? You can't go getting her name wrong like that. Sensitive thing that she is, she'll be thinking that you're having a fling with one of her sisters.

  2. Hi Andy

Do you always take a bivi bag even with a tent?

Off to compare this with my list!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yes I do.
At 200g I think it is worth it.
I can use it at the bottom of the bag to stop the foot hitting the edges.
If it is really cold outside you can sit in it.
And in an emergency, it can be well worth having.
Especially if I Wendy was damaged, I could bivvy in Al's Trailstar.

  4. Is that the tent that keeps breaking ? Just saying :)
